Tiramisù Recipe with Eggs
The upcoming paragraph serves educational purposes on the Italian cuisine.
You can find the instructions for the Recipe below.
While Tiramisù is one of many Italian desserts, it has gotten a lot more recognition. Partly that is, because Italy has a deeply inbedded coffee culture, separately from the food culture. Combining Espresso and its Bitterness with the Creamy, Rich Texture of Mascarpone works Wonders. The Ladyfingers turn this Combination into a Dessert and the Cocoa Powder not only completes the look but accentuates the Bitterness of Coffee. So, the hidden Secret of Tiramisù's Appreciation lies in the Combination of Bitterness, Sweetness and Creaminess.
Globally, Coffee is rarely served after a Meal. In Italy, coffee is served after a meal because it is strong and aromatic, thus seen as Perfect Way to end the Eating Experience.
Italy's Coffee Culture could be compared to many countries' Tea Culture. The Drink offers the opportunity to take a moment to settle down for a few minutes, either in Company or Alone, without thinking about the business of the day. That in Mind, Tiramisù does have a deep meaning for the Italian Culture. It demonstrates to the world that coffee is not a pure Productivity Chug-Down-Drink, but in fact a Delicacy.
Now the Recipe will Initiate. It will be structured in Ingredients and Instructions. This Recipe is simply the Classic Tiramisù.
Tiramisù Ingredients
The Ingredients for Tiramisù are Simple.
300ml Espresso Coffee
4 Eggs
100g Sugar
500g Mascarpone
250g Savoiardi (Ladyfingers)
How to make Tiramisù
There are not many Steps for making Tiramisù.
Crucial Aspects are:
Not Overmixing the Mascarpone.
Beating the Eggwhites until they are stiff.
A good hand mixer is crucial for this part. The OVENTE Handmixer (https://amzn.to/4eNBlIt) and the PHILIPS Handmixer (https://amzn.to/3V04UiK) are highly recommended.
And carefully Folding them into the Mixture.
Step 1:
Prepare the Coffee.
Note: Using Espresso is essential for the Flavour.
I highly recommend the Bialetti Moka Pot that comes in different sizes (https://amzn.to/4fRg3um).
Step 2:
Seperate the Eggs.
Leave the Eggyolks in a Big Mixing Bowl (https://amzn.to/4fXKQG5).
Step 3: Eggyolk Mixture Preparation
Add the Sugar to the Eggyolks. Mix until the colour brightens and the texture is creamy.
Take the Mascarpone out of the Fridge and let it warm up for 5 Minutes. Then briefly mix with the Rest.
Step 4:
Beat the Eggwhites until they are stiff.
Step 5:
Gently Fold the Eggwhites to the Eggyolk Mixture.
Advice: Add one Third at a Time to be in Control of the Consistency.
Step 6: Build the Tiramisù
In a pan, spread a generous Layer of Mixture on the Bottom.
Then build the Layer of Savoiardi (Ladyfingers): Soak each Savoiardi in coffee then lay it on the Cream.
Repeat this Process one more time.
On Top of the second Savoiardi-Layer, spread the Rest of Cream.
Advice: Avoid Over-Soaking, thus Over-Softening the Savoiardi.
Step 7:
Add the Layer of Cocoa Powder to top it off.
Be generous with the cocoa powder.
Step 8:
Let the Tiramisù rest for atleast 3-5 hours.
Advice: Leave it in the Fridge overnight for enhanced Flavours.
Plated Tiramisù
Obviously, there are many ways Tiramisù can be served.
The picture shows a very simple and aesthetically pleasing example: With Berries on Top and Coffee on the Side.
Advice: The Recommandation for a minimalistic look is a rather small serving size, to enhance the delicacy of this Festive Italian Dessert.
